Attention shoppers: if you're looking for killer deals this holiday shopping season, you might not have to brave long lines and crazy crowds the Friday after Thanksgiving to get them. Increasingly, retailers are putting deals on social networks like Facebook. Usually, you have to "friend" the retailer's Facebook page to get the bargains, but given some of the steep discounts I've seen, that's a small price to pay. The only downside: the deals come in limited quantities and people snap them up fast, so you have to be alert and fast on the "send" button.
Have you tried landing any of the Black Friday deals via social networks? Was it better or worse than the in-person shopping experience?

I did the Black Friday thing once and never again. Complete chaos and craziness. It is so far from the spirit of Christmas. People are more obsessed with things every year, especially electronics and if you find yourself in a Black Friday line you'll fuel this materialistic spree. I've come to the conclusion that f you are a smart and frugal shopper you'd come to realize that most of these deals you can find at any time of the year. Seriously, it just takes searching around online, looking for specials. What you find in the dept. stores that day, you can find 24/7 online.
"Black Friday"????? Where the hail is the naacp on this one?

Check the accounting books.. in the "red" was red ink for LOSS and in the "black" was black ink for GAIN.... Try an education before you get the NAACP on a nothing issue....
1st Anon : I couldn't agree more. Used to work retail and now Christmas shopping is for the souless.
2nd Anon: Funny stuff.
3rd Anon: 2nd Anon was making a tasteless joke on purpose. You are not nearlly as intelligent as you think you are being. Get over yourself.
