Summer Vines: Finley drives!

Driving Dog = Fun Summer Vine.

Here's the latest entry in the Observer's Vine contest, in which we'll give a $25 gas card to the Vine that best captures summer fun.

For the uninitiated, Vine is the popular stop-and-start, 6-second video service from the folks at Twitter. If you want to join in our contest, create your Vine and tag it #charlottesummer. We'll monitor throughout August and pick our favorite.

And now, here's a great Vine from Greg Baskwell of Charlotte and Raleigh.

The cops made plenty of print headlines. Here's an assortment of news outlets that picked the story up.

Charlotte Observer: Traffic jammin' officers a hit uptown
NBCNEWS.com: "Dancing traffic cops bust a move at DNC in Charlotte"
